• The perfect resort for a family ski holiday is VAL CENIS, in the Maurienne valley of the French Savoie.
• Not an expensive and impersonal, purpose built ‘ski factory’, but genuine and unspoilt mountain villages – real communities, child friendly and safe.
• Comfortable accommodation for the family on or very close to pistes – no trekking in ski boots for children or for parents carrying equipment.
• Not disco and karaoke, but inexpensive and traditional bars and restaurants which cater for all.
• Provision/Activities for children include crèche facilities, swimming pool, ice rink, bowling, cinemas and two secure toboggan areas on the slopes.
• The mountain is family orientated with blue slopes for example at all heights up to 2800m. There are protected areas for infants on the piste front and learning
slopes accessed by one of the first child secure high speed chairs in Europe.
• VAL CENIS caters for the family budget – ski school for children ( 6 x two and a half hour sessions ) is under £100 for the week!
